Day 1: Arrive Reykjavik Arrive at any time today and transfer independently to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure before you meet with your CEO and fellow travellers in the evening for a welcome meeting.

Day 2: Reykjavik – Akureyri Drive to Akureyri, stopping for lunch en route at a local cantina. Today, you have time to explore the town, situated at the end of Iceland’s longest fjord Eyjafjörður. This is a scenic spot to enjoy the local wildlife and small villages in the area. This evening, you have the option to take a whale-watching tour. (B)

Day 3: Akureyri – Bakkagerdi Today, you will head to Mývatn Lake, stopping en route at Goðafoss Waterfall. You will have time to explore the lava formations of Dimmuborgir and the geothermal area of Námaskarð. Visit Dettifoss Waterfall, one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe. End your day at Borgarfjörður in the East Fjords region for a night in a local guesthouse. (B)

Day 4: Bakkagerdi – Höfn Leave beautiful Borgarfjörður behind and travel down the coast driving through the beautiful and majestic eastern fjords. En route to Höfn, catch a glimpse of Vatnajokull glacier, the largest ice cap in Europe. Höfn is known as the lobster capital of Iceland, so include a sample of this delicacy in your plans for this evening. (B)

Day 5: Höfn – Vík Marvel at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, with a chance to see seals sun bathing on the bright blue ice. Opt to check out the lagoon by boat. Stop by Diamond Beach, which gets its name from chunks of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier that float to shore. As these blocks of glacier ice melt, they develop a crystal clear sheen, set against the black sand of the beach. Continue on to Skaftafell National Park with time to explore before continuing on in the evening to the small town of Vík. (B)

Day 6: Vík – Reykjavik This morning, have your camera at the ready for a visit to the stunning black sand and ominous rock formations of Reynisfjara Beach. Continue along the Golden Circle to Drumbo before stopping off at the spectacular waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Explore the Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Hot Springs and Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit a G Adventures-supported sustainable community dedicated to helping people with disabilities. Arrive back into Reykjavík in the early evening. (B)

Day 7: Depart Reykjavik Depart at any time today and transfer independently to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
