Day 1: Arrive Cape Town Arrive anytime and take your included transfer to your hotel for a 3-night stay in this vibrant city. Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront (3 nights)

Days 2 & 3: Cape Town sightseeing Start the day with a half day city tour that will provide a great introduction to Cape Town including an exhilarating cable car ride up Table Mountain.  The rest of your time here is free to explore, perhaps take a tour of Robben Island to learn more about the cities unique history or take a wine tasting tour through the scenic Cape Winelands.

Day 4: Cape Town – Winelands – Matjiesfontein Begin your rail journey to the majestic Victoria Falls. Transfer independently to Cape Town station and board the Rovos Rail train (departs approx. 11:00). Once on board you will delight in its elegant style and first-class service, after lunch take a wander down to the observation car or sip on a cocktail in the lounge car as you make your way through the winelands and scenic South African countryside. Before dinner that evening there is an included excursion to historic Matjiesfontein an authentic, perfectly preserved Victorian Village. (LD) Rovos Rail Train (2 nights)

Day 5: Matjiesfontein – Kimberley The morning is free to relax and enjoy the views as the train continues north to Kimberley. That afternoon take a city tour and a visit to the Diamond Mine Museum to find out more about its rich mining heritage. In the evening enjoy fine dining on board in the dining car as the train travels through the Highveld. (BLD)

Day 6: Kimberley – Pretoria Over breakfast enjoy the view as the train travels via Johannesburg through the goldfields to Pretoria arriving around midday. Disembark and take your included transfer to your Pretoria hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure, tours of the surrounding areas can be arranged on request. (B) Southern Sun Pretoria

Day 7: Pretoria – Messina – Beitbridge, Zimbabwe In the morning the adventure continues as you re-join the train for the next leg of your journey. Head north through Warmbaths and Nylstroom crossing the Tropic of Capricorn en route to the border with Zimbabwe. (BLD) Rovos Rail Train (3 nights)

Day 8: Beitbridge – Bulawayo – Mpopoma After border formalities the train travels on the BBR line and traverses baobab country towards Bulawayo, the second city of Zimbabwe. (BLD)

Day 9: Mpopoma – Hwange – Thomson Junction The train will travel along one of the world’s longest stretches of straight railway line before traversing Hwange National Park – keep an eye out for wild animals as you pass through. That afternoon after arriving at Kennedy Siding enjoy a game drive excursion to get up close and personal with the wildlife. (BLD)

Day 10: Thomson Junction – Victoria Falls In the morning as you travel towards the Zambezi River after a final breakfast on board your epic 2,000 mile rail journey across southern Africa concludes arriving at Victoria Falls at around 10:00. Transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. (B) The Royal Livingstone (2 nights)

Day 11: Victoria Falls & Zambezi River Cruise You will get the chance to witness one of the great continental sights – the mighty Victoria Falls. Take a guided trip around the falls. The afternoon is at leisure before you head on a leisurely sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. Keep an eye out for crocs and buffalo as you sip on a cocktail as the sun sets, a great way to end your trip. (B)

Day 12: Depart Victoria falls Your tour will conclude with a transfer to Livingstone airport. (B)
